Phuket!

Many Singaporeans flock to Phuket every year for a quick getaway. In Phuket you could many outdoor activities like snorkeling, island hopping, white water rafting, ATV and more! I'll do a short breakdown of my trip and a quick review on everything. I went there for 5D4N and stayed at Metadee Resort and Villas which is really good. There's no point paying more for the pool access rooms cause the deluxe pool view rooms are just as great. Rooms are huge and there's also a separate bathtub and shower.

I had my 2 tours and airport transfer booked through Mr. Mark tours. He's got quite a good reputation with many Singaporean travelers and is definitely trustworthy. I did the elephant trekking, white water rafting and ATV tour and the Phi Phi Island tour. Both tours is a must try if you ever visit Phuket.

So here's the breakdown of the costs:

Airfare (Jetstar): S$126.65 per pax
Accommodation (Metadee): S$79.90 per night
Insurance for 5 days: S$25.00
Total for 2 person for 5D4N: $311.45

Mr. Mark Tours
Return airport transfer: 1200 baht (he does one way for 600 baht)
Phi Phi Island tour by speedboat: 1200 baht per pax
Elephant trekking, white water rafting, ATV: 1900 baht per pax

If you need his contact just leave me a comment with your email and I'll get back to you.

Itacho Sushi

For all sushi lovers, this place is a must go to have great sushi. They have all kinds of Nigiri Sushi, Sashimi, Handrolls, Grilled Sushi and many more. I can personally guarantee that the seafood are all fresh. You won't be faced with a situation where you get slimy or weird tasting seafood.

Cost per person is around $30 to $50. Depending o
n what you order.

Can't really remember the price of these but if I'm not wron
g its $1 per sushi.

This one is one of my favorite, Chawamushi. For those that love this you have to try their version of it. On top of the Chawamushi, it is crab meat that is in a thick broth that makes the whole thing taste out of this world.

The other thing to try is their Grilled Hotate (scallop) Sushi, its a must try. On the right side its their Grilled Salmon Sushi.

This is their Soy Sauce Salmon Sushi which is value for money. It cost only $0.70 per sushi but is limited to only 4 per customer. They usually run out of this though.

You can check out more details and their latest seafood imports from Japan on their Facebook page here. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Itacho-Sushi/158303486802

Where to Buy Air Tickets

Something that I realise what everyone should do when it comes to buying air tickets. Be it to Bangkok, London or New York. These are the steps I take:

1. Check air ticket price on online travel agents websites such as zuji.com.sg or priceline.com.sg
2. Check for airline that offers the cheapest price and go to the airline's website to buy the ticket.

This should save you at least 30 to 40 dollars as online travel agent fee.

For budget airline, I realise that no matter how cheap other air lines are Jetstar will be cheapest. Just find any ticket cheaper than Jetstar and Jetstar will beat the price by 10%. More details can be found here. http://ssl.jetstar.com/sg/en/travel-info/price-beat-guarantee.aspx
